Not to us, but to Your name alone
Be all the glory, the glory, forever
For Your faithfulness and steadfast love
Receive the glory, the glory belongs to You
All that we’ve accomplished You have done for us
And any fruit we harvest is a gift from Your hand
We are only jars of clay that hold a priceless treasure
And we exist to bring You pleasure, O God
Only by Your mercy can we come to You
Though we deserved Your judgment You have called us by name
So we glory in the cross of Christ that made us Yours forever
That joined our lives together to sing
This was a song I wrote for the weekend my senior pastor C.J. Mahaney turned the church over to our present senior pastor, Joshua Harris. Based on Psalm 115 and a few other Scriptures, it was my attempt to express what has always been CJ's heart - to give all glory to the Savior. This is from the recent Worship God Live CD, produced by Sovereign Grace Ministries.Listen to the full MP3 of "Receive the Glory" by Bob Kauflin. File size: 5.72 MB.

Hello Beowulf,
thanks for sharing the song. I think the lyrics are very meaningful and the music good. Continue to press on toward the goal that God has called us in Christ. :)

Thanks so much for your post, pretty helpful material.
Oh, what a beautiful song. I'm so glad Bob penned 2 Cor 4:7 into melody.
"we are just a jar of clay, fragile and unimpressive. But, God has placed the priceless treasure which is the knowledge of the glory of God in Jesus Christ in us. To show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us."
